Can you confirm the baking instructions? Very confusing how it says to cook for 10 minutes, then it says to cook for 1 minute on a cookie sheet, and then again it says to remove from parchment paper and cook completely on wire rack? Wait...it's just hitting me now...are those last 2 supposed to be COOL??????????????

Oh my gosh! This is almost identical to the recipe that my mom had been making for our family since the 1970s! It has become one of my family’s favorite meals. When I make this, I always have to make 3 pounds of the meat mixture so I can make 4 to 5 pies! My daughter has to have one for herself and so does my husband, hahaha! My mom‘s recipe is almost identical to this except she added canned mushrooms and used shredded cheddar cheese. These are my hacks: I use shredded sharp cheddar cheese or fiesta blend shredded cheese. I also use garlic powder instead of garlic salt. I also add a tiny bit of chili seasoning mix, about 2 tablespoons of ketchup, and 1 tablespoon of mustard, as well as well as some dried sweet basil, anise seed instead of cumin, and sugar to taste.
