Top 100 Five-Ingredient Dinners

I used my own recipe for spaetzle, and added mushrooms and tarragon. I think it’d be great with just some grated nutmeg or some thyme, as well. Someone else mentioned that it needed herbs or something, so it got me thinking of good additions with the noodles, ham and gruyere! Easy recipe, and I already had the ham in my freezer. If you aren’t up for making the frischnüdeln, you could always use dried spaetzle from the store (Amazon also carries it).

Can this casserole be frozen? If so., for how long?

I used chicken broth in place of the sherry and added a little flour to pan.
