Do you have to use golden mushroom soup?

Great recipe. I added about 1/2 cup of peanut butter and used dark chocolate chips. It had the right amount of sweetness. ??

I use half butter half butter flavored shortening. It makes a lighter thicker cookie that doesn't spread out as much. Other than that, & lowering oven to 350 instead of 375, they are perfect. It's the only cookie my beloved sister asks for whenever I get to see her. Ty for the great recipe? ????
