I used vermicelli noodles instead of egg noodles. I love this recipe! Its so great when you're craving the comfort of mac & cheese, but want a different version of it!

So funny that I came across this recipe. I wanted something not as heavy as a full-on chili, and had a vague memory of eating this as a kid. I never would have thought to start with a raw ground beef slurry. Of course, as a Texas chili maker, I had to up the spices and decrease the cinnamon. My family enjoyed it on homemade jalapeno-cheddar sausage, topped with more cheddar.

Is there actually a Jiffy corn bread MUFFIN mix, separate and different from the corn bread mix?
