Our 54 Most-Comforting Casserole Recipes

I made this for a potluck Christmas Party we went to last night and it was one of the first of the Appetizers to be gobbled up. I used homogenized milk and added a 4 oz. can of Mushrooms. I'll be making it again for my own Christmas Day celebration.

I added more water (about 3cups in total, not really sure; kind of eyeballed it) to my recipe because with the 1cup of water, it was too tart even with the sugar added. I don’t know if my lemons were just extra tart because it was a smaller one or if it was the recipe.

Why did i have more mixture than would fit
