We have a shrimp allergy, any suggestions for a substitute?

I used home made kraut. My mother-in-law showed me how to make kraut while I was in Germany. Also cut my kielbasa on a bias for visual appeal. Then I used low and slow method on the stove top. when you make your own kraut, you can make it as "sauer" as you want!

This is a really good dish. I made this recipe as written. A reviewer commented that it is not too eggy and she was right. Just the way we like it. The leftovers heat up very nicely. I will make this again with some added garlic and onions for a little more flavor. Nice recipe.
