Can I melt and use Kraft Caramels instead of the topping?

This is an awesome salad. I wish I had discovered this recipe years ago, so every year I could have made better use of our typical Thanksgiving leftovers. I had to use commercial packages of smoked turkey, canned cranberry sauce and a mini 4-pack of King’s Hawaiian dinner rolls. It would be so much better with home-style roasted turkey and all the usual Thanksgiving leftovers. But it still turned out exquisite, tasty, and filling. The cranberry-based dressing adds a tasty touch to the greens, and it imparts a bit of a sweet tangy tone to the entire salad. We really enjoyed this salad.
