We never cut off the crust. Never used cornflakes either . Try with flour, bread crumbs, a few cracker crumbs and little cornmeal. We used cracker meal but can’t find it. Also add some dry cheddar to your egg mixture for old school from our restaurant. Perfect every time.

Followed recipe but added 2 1/2 cups of bananas added 3 teaspoons baking powder as I did not have baking soda.. so I tripled the baking powder instead of the 1 tsp baking soda I did 3 teaspoons baking powder. I used two boxes of pistachio pudding which made it green and perfect for st Patty's. Baked for hour and five min. It was extremely moist. And a perfect pairing of banana and pistachio flavor. A new family fave for this time of year
