I have used a similar recipe for years. But it makes too much for me now. Your recipe makes it easy for me to cut down into a smaller batch. I too never canned it- always water bathed and never had a problem. Funny story, when I gave my mom a few pints, she looked askance at them and put them in the cupboard. Then one day I got one out and made her try it- her eyes lit up and she announced no one could touch the others- they were being saved for company!
