First time Hollandaise maker here… went very well! Keep the heat low and take your time. I added a bit of paprika and cumin- great addition!

This really isn't a question, more of a statement. I think through the years people have forgotten that little zing you got when you bit into the cookie. I went through a lot of recipe until I found what was missing. Try adding just a pinch of fine ground black pepper. I'm not being factious, it is really good. Don't add to much (don't want it hot). Now whenever I make ginger cookies I add just a small pinch, it really is crazy gooe.
