Sos -- "stuff" on a Shingle
Measurements are off. My father, an army vet, made this twice a month. You need to double the milk or you are making paste. Add lots of pepper or it tastes like nothing.

I increased the wine to one cup. Perhaps my shallots were larger than the author expected. They were about 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inch diameter. It was almost a cup of shallots. That meant i needed more wine in proportion.
