This is a family favorite. As written, I pair it with a side salad and/or crusty bread for a 2-person meal. Without the sides, I double everything except the chicken and it is perfect for my husband and me. I also personally prefer to use parboiled rice.

I make this for ribs and this yr for July 4th grilled dinner -- added a smoke packet filled w apple wood for the first hr, occasionally sprayed w a basic bbq spritz of apple cider vinegar, werchestershire sauce, water, some s&p, and wrapped the ribs up in foil for the remainder of time on the grill. this is my goto spice rub for ribs, wifey loves it all year. I can’t have cream cheese, so I’m wondering if I can substitute Crema or Sour Cream for that part?
